Pedicure (+ foot scrub recipe)

Today I gave the girls a pedicure. I had them soak their feet in some water with pre-mixed (commercial) bath salts, which I’ve had forever, and then I scrubbed them with a homemade foot scrub, put foot cream and foot spray. The girls loved it – they felt so grown up. Now I need to do it for myself šŸ™‚

Last Sunday, on my birthday, I gave myself another pedicure. This time I started with a foot bath, followed by a scrub, then Mike worked on my calluses (let’s just say they were so bad he had to use a knife), and then I put lotion on them. Everything was semi-homemade (I used commercial lotion as a base, because I didn’t have any unscented homemade lotion). These are the recipes – I found them online, but I don’t remember where šŸ™
    Foot Bath
    1 Tbsp. Honey
    1 Tbsp. liquid soap
    2 Tbsp. almond oil
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Mix all ingredients and pour a little bit on hot water.
    Foot Scrub
Mix 1/4 cup sugar with enough lotion to make a paste
    Foot Lotion
    1/4 cup unscented lotion
    2 Tbsp. vodka
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    15 drops peppermint essential oil
    Mix all and apply.
